Join us for our annual Urban Agriculture Kick-off, on Sat., April 8, from 11 am – 1 pm.
This free event will take place at four different community gardens across Providence (the South Side, West End, Olneyville and East Side). Each will feature an agriculture expert on hand to answer questions about chemical-free gardening and how to get the most out of growing in small urban plots, containers and backyard gardens. SCLT will be giving away non-GMO, organic and heirloom vegetable, herb and flower seeds, and selling low-cost, locally produced, organic fertilizer.
It's also a chance for members to pick up their annual, free, organic compost (all 50 gallons!). Anyone who becomes an SCLT member that day will also be able to take compost home (just bring your own containers).
Leave the event with the tools, tips and resources for a successful growing season!
