Meet the Farmers
    
 

This is Chang Xiong, a partner of Four Friends Farm and owner of Pak Express Farm. She is “the” master grower; she loves to grow peppers, eggplant, and mixed greens! She makes delicious nim chow too. You can find Pak express at these farmers' markets: Broad Street, Goddard State Park Haines State Park, Pawtuxet Village, Providence / Broad St and Providence / Brown University.

 
 

This is Ger Xiong, husband of Chang Xiong and co-owner of Pak Express Farm. He does all of the CSA deliveries but also loves to farm and tend to the chickens. This is Christina Dedora, partner of Four Friends Farm and owner of Blue Skys Flower Farm. She loves to grow sunflowers, gladioli, and herbs. Christina is busy keeping track of all our wonderful customers and happy to answer any questions (christina.dedora@gmail.com). You can find Blue Skys Flower Farm at these farmers' markets: Pawtuxet Village and Providence / Downtown.

This is Katie Miller and Jo Bloch who run Scratch Farm, a 2-acre, worker owned, organic vegetable farm. They grow over 100 varieties of vegetables and small fruit which they sell primarily through our CSA. CSA pickup is in the Armory neighborhood of Providence on Monday evenings, visit their website or email them (scratchfarm@gmail.com) to find out more about thema nd their CSA. They also sell as part of the Little City Growers Cooperative to restaurants in Providence.

 


This is John Kenny, who has been running Big Train Farm, a 3 acre farm, with his girlfriend Mindy since 2008. Big Train Farm serves the Providence area through it's CSA program, Farmers Markets, and Whole-Sale accounts. This is Michele Kozloski, former coordinator between Urban Edge Farm and Southside Community Land Trust. She's been farming for 11 years and established Zephyr Farm in 2008. She does a farm share with farm fresh egg shares and flower shares. Her vegetables are grown without any synthetic pesticides or fertilizers.
