We're pleased to announce that we've launched a new membership initiative that will provide resources and other benefits to food growers. Now you have two options for membership. If you are a grower, you can choose to join the Providence Community Growers Network, which gives you access to growers benefits and SCLT membership benefits. If you are not a grower and still want to support SCLT, you can choose to join SCLT as a regular member.
All members (Providence Community Growers Network members AND regular members) receive:
• Entrance into the "preview hour" of City Farm's Annual Plant Sale (first dibs on all the perennials, annuals, and fruit and vegetable plant starts)
• A 10% discount on everything purchased at the Annual Plant Sale
• 10% off select purchases (please see vendor for more details) at Avant Gardens, Briggs Nursery, Evergreen Tree & Landscape Service, Farmacy Herbs, Frey Florist & Greenhouses, Frog & Toad, The Good Earth Organic Gardening Center, Jephry Floral Studio, OOP!, Legend Bicycle, The Peaceable Kingdom, and Seven Arrows Farm!
Providence Community Growers Network members also receive:
• Up to 50 gallons of screened organic compost (i.e. 10 white buckets or a garbage can)
• Seeds and other organic growing materials
• Free admission to Plant Providence workshops (starting in 2012, non-Grower
Members will pay $5 for attending workshops, except the Beginning Growers Series)
• Free or reduced admission to Providence Community Growers Network events
• Representation to the Providence Community Growers Network Council
• Opportunities to advocate for urban agriculture in Providence
• Knowing that your support is helping hundreds of families “grow food everywhere!”
• Student/Low-income - sliding scale $20-$50
• Individual/Family - sliding scale $35-$75
